The idea for Chip-In was developed in a studio workshop by five City & Regional Planning Students at The Ohio State University. Since creating the idea, the five students have competed in a competition held by the American Planning Association at the National Conference in Seattle, Washington. The competition, “Innovative Planning Apps for Planners”, was sponsored by the Technology Division and had nine finalists from around the country. The teams presented their ideas and the audience determined the runner-up and overall winner. Team Chip-In was announced as the winner of the competition!
Now where does the team go from here? The Chip-In Team plans to fully develop the mobile application by the end of the year and have it running for the public to use. Until then, follow the team’s adventures on this blog, Facebook, and Twitter!
